Which format should I choose?
WebP is usually the smallest for the web. JPEG is the most compatible. PNG is lossless and best for screenshots or images that need transparency.
Why is the first background removal slower?
The AI model (about 45 to 180 MB depending on your browser) is downloaded once and cached. Later cutouts start immediately.
Do I need an account?
No. Every tool works without one. A free account raises the batch limit to 100 images, keeps up to 50 presets synced across devices, unlocks higher-resolution background removal and tracks your milestones. Only settings and usage totals are stored, never images.
